The Gen Z’s have played an important role in recent reforms in the government. They have gone a notch higher to even convince citizens that they deserve a space in the government.
Apart from pushing for reforms, the Gen Z’s have convinced president Ruto to do away with the Cabinet secretaries as they saw it as an opportunity to save Kenya more money.
After the Gen Z’s put up a strong fight in rejecting the bill, President Ruto was forced to come up with other ways of improving the financial state of the country in order to settle the debts that we have as a country.
Yesterday, the president received numerous praises after firing the CS’s, some of whom were his strong supporters; including Moses Kuria.
JOHN GITONGA’S MESSAGE ABOUT GEN Z’S
Manyatta MP John Gitonga was among the Members of parliament who supported the Gen Z’s and voted against the finance bill. Even though it passed on 2nd & 3rd reading, the Gen Z’s believed they had the manpower to convince the president to change his mind; which he did.
For firing the Cabinet secretaries, Manyatta MP Gitonga believes that the Gen Z’s should be given a chance to take up those positions.
”Mdosi we salute you kwa sababu ya kuskiza ma Gen Z. Na sai vile naona ile dream cabinet yenye ma Gen Z walikuwa wanataka, wataipata. Ile cabinet tunaomba ni ile haina maringo ya wananchi. Hii maneno ya ku-floss, ooh, opulence. Hio kwanza mdosi aweke hao watu chini,” he shared with SPM Buzz.
He further requested the president to give a chance to the Gen z’s
”Alafu aweke hapo ma Gen Z kadhaa. Apate wengine watatu, wanne aweke apo kwa cabinet. The biggest vetting itafanywa na ma Gen Z.”
While most people are supporting the young generation, the president is yet to give his next move after firing the cabinet secretaries.
