• “I used to hallucinate and see scary faces,” she admitted, attributing these experiences to her alcoholism.

Renowned media personality and former radio presenter Chebet Ronoh has advised her fans against alcoholism.
Ronoh opened up about her horrifying experience as an alcoholic, revealing that she had started consuming cheap and low-quality alcohol for as little as 100 shillings.
“Overdrinking and blacking out is not normal,” she began. “I messed up my nerves; I got peripheral neuropathy that makes my body twitch when I’m hungover.”
Ronoh also shared that her alcohol abuse had damaged her skin, eyes, and liver, prompting a stern warning from her doctor about the risk of liver failure.
“I used to hallucinate and see scary faces,” she admitted, attributing these experiences to her alcoholism.
She claimed that alcohol can cause significant brain damage, recounting instances of mid-20s youths waking up in the middle of the night and screaming.

She advised anyone with mental health issues to avoid alcohol, as it is a depressant.
Ronoh further explained that drunkards often make noise or fight for no reason, attributing this to the effects of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) imbalances caused by alcohol.
She noted that alcoholism can ruin relationships and job trust, leading to increased stress and anxiety.
Ronoh credited her recovery to God, stating that she once couldn’t live a day without alcohol. She urged others going through similar struggles to believe in themselves and their ability to overcome alcoholism.
