The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Tuesday confirmed the apprehension of over 20 officers from Trans Nzoia County on accusations of obstruction of duty.
This includes arrests that occurred at the Milimani Law Courts on the same day, where individuals associated with the county governor were allegedly abducted by unidentified persons.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) confirmed that, in collaboration with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), they were involved in the confrontation that broke out shortly after the mention of Governor George Natembeya’s case at the Milimani Law Courts, where several men in suits were seen in a physical scuffle.
“The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), working with officers from the Integrity Police Station, arrested senior officials from the Trans Nzoia County Government on June 3, 2025, for obstructing EACC officers as they carried out a lawful court order,” the commission stated.
