Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has praised the collaboration between President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, stating that it is already yielding political and economic benefits.
In a statement on Wednesday, May 4, Nyong’o said the alliance between the two leaders will play a key role in strengthening national unity and advancing development.
The governor emphasized the need for President Ruto and Raila Odinga to carry out more joint tours nationwide to promote inclusivity.
“We fully support the move by President Ruto and Raila Odinga to unite for the sake of national unity and development,” he stated.
He further stated, “As a county, we fully support the vision laid out in the recently signed MoU that forms the foundation of the inclusive government. We applaud the peace, unity, and renewed optimism that this collaboration has sparked across the nation.”
The governor also thanked the president for launching key development initiatives in the county, including the affordable housing program, major roadworks, and air transport projects. He noted that these efforts will significantly boost the county’s economic growth and improve the quality of life for its residents.
