The Ministry of Education has modified the dates for 1/2-time period break for 2nd time period.
Initially, the learners were to interrupt for 2nd term half of-term smash from June 20 to 23.
In a circular dated May 24 to all County Directors of Education, the 1/2-term dates were moved to June 26.
“Following the disruptions of the opening dates, it has been determined that half of-term dates fir time period two be revised,” the round examine in part.
The learners will smash for mid-term from June 26 until June 28.
The ministry said all rookies in boarding colleges could be expected to record returned on June 30, 2024.
The ministry mentioned that the modifications might also require changes on planned sports and schedules.
Schools were previously scheduled to open on April 29, however the Ministry of Education postponed the same due to floods.
Eventually, most faculties reopened from May 13 which become two weeks past due.
On whether the second time period dates could be extended to recover the misplaced time, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on May 9 stated second time period could be prolonged for an unspecified length.
He said the extension is to allow colleges to appropriately cowl the syllabus, particularly for applicants preparing for the national examinations scheduled for November.

The CS insisted that the country wide exam dates will continue to be unchanged.
