MORARA KEBASO IN COURT: WHAT NEXT AFTER DAVID LANGAT DENIES COMPLAINT

Political activist Morara Kebaso found himself on the wrong side of the law after he was dramatically arrested and arraigned in court.

The charge sheet named him in connection with allegations of cyber harassment against businessman David Langat, who has since distanced himself from the case.

In a statement from DL Group of Companies Limited, Langat clarified, “On invitation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, our Chairman has recorded a statement and reiterated that he has nothing to do with the authors or content of the subject online posts.”

He emphasized his lack of involvement in filing any complaint against Kebaso, which raises critical questions about the case’s viability.

Kebaso faces accusations stemming from a post he made on social media, where he claimed that Langat was being financially exploited by President William Ruto.

This allegation suggested that Langat had taken out large loans using his properties as collateral, which Ruto was allegedly attempting to undervalue for his own gain.

Following his arrest, Kebaso was released on a cash bail of Ksh.50,000.

The case will be mentioned on October 4. But what is the likely verdict?
