Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has called for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of popular TikToker Milly wa Doc.
The tragic loss of the social media influencer has stirred nationwide concern, prompting Passaris to urge the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to conduct a thorough and transparent probe to uncover the cause of Milly’s death.
In a heartfelt statement, Passaris emphasized the need for an in-depth inquiry, stressing that no detail should be overlooked.
According to Milly’s family, she passed away on June 3, following complications from surgery to remove a cyst. After the operation, she reportedly suffered severe bleeding and kidney failure.
Passaris highlighted that the nature of Milly’s sudden death raises serious questions that demand urgent answers from the investigative bodies.
She specifically called on Chief Government Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor to lead the forensic examination, ensuring that the findings are handled with the utmost integrity.
“I call upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to conduct a thorough and transparent probe. The Chief Government Pathologist, Dr Johansen Oduor, should be urgently involved,” part of her statement read.
Additionally, Passaris expressed concern about Milly’s ex-husband, who is a medical doctor, urging the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) to investigate allegations of abuse of office linked to him.
“I urge KMPDC to investigate the online allegations against her partner, who is reportedly a licensed medical professional. These allegations speak to possible abuse of office and failure in duty of care matters that demand immediate attention,” the MP stated.
While extending her condolences to Milly’s family, Passaris underscored the importance of a diligent investigation that leaves no stone unturned.
“I am deeply disheartened by the tragic passing of Milly wa Doc. My heartfelt condolences go out to her children, family, and the fans who drew strength from her candid and courageous voice,” she said.
Milly, who grew up as the eldest of eight siblings in a humble family in Nakuru, was widely loved for her authentic lifestyle content on TikTok, where she amassed a large and devoted following.
