Several passengers sustained injuries when a Super Metro PSV they were riding in crashed near Burudani Address in Juja, Nairobi.
The accident happened just a short distance from the entertainment venue, sparking panic among those traveling.
Emergency responders and bystanders at the scene worked together to rescue the injured and administer first aid while waiting for medical teams to arrive.
The Super Metro PSV was traveling from Juja Town to Nairobi CBD along the service lane of Thika Superhighway when it suddenly veered off the road and overturned onto its side.
At the time of reporting, no traffic police had yet arrived at the scene, even as heavy congestion began to build up along the busy Thika Superhighway.
Earlier on Monday, two people were confirmed dead in a separate road accident along Kiambu Road. The crash, which happened near AAR Hospital, involved a matatu that lost control and veered off the road, injuring numerous passengers.
This incident involved a PSV affiliated with Metrotrans Sacco and occurred on the stretch leading to the DCI headquarters.
Medical teams from AAR Hospital were quickly dispatched to assist the injured, while a large crowd gathered around the wreckage.
