President William Ruto who has been silent since the reports emerged that him and his deputy president are having a fallout, has been put in a tight fix after Gachagua seemed to play political chess attacking on him.
Although Statehouse disputed the reports of fallout, President William Ruto has not spoken about the romours since he came back from the US and his silence has been loud among leaders and kenyans alike.
However, in a move initiated by Rigathi Gachagua in Eldoret, the DP seemed to be attacking one of President William Ruto confidant and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi in a move aimed at triggering him to respond.
The MP walked right into the trap and responded fiercely to Rigathi Gachagua whom he warned against threatening him and told him to respect other leaders irrespective of their position in the government.
In his strategic attack towards Oscar Sudi, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said that these leaders have close proximity to the President and are misadvising him on matters Mt Kenya.
KANU Political Affairs Secretary Fredrick Okang’o has also shared the same views and asked President Ruto to shield his DP from attacks by his close allies and prevent them from undermining him.
“Rigathi Gachagua is not happy because his work as the Deputy President is not being recognized by certain people close to the President. He must call out these people that are perceived to be undermining Rigathi.”
The ball now remains on President William Ruto’s court to either stop his allies, among them Oscar Sudi from launching attacks to his Deputy or mantain the silence which will then send a message to the DP.
If the President orders a ceasefire, Gachagua will be reassured of his position within the UDA party and will treat utterances from minor leaders as just noise. But if the President mantains silence and attacks persist, Gachagua will know who the owner of the dogs is.
