South Sudanese TikToker Yagga has congratulated Kenyans for standing up and calling out incompetent leaders, commending them for marching on the streets fighting for their rights.
He, however, compared the two countries, which are his South Sudanese and Kenya, saying that Kenya has quite a number of good privileges, starting with freedom of speech, something that is not in their country.
“Here at least there’s democracy; the people of Kenya have the freedom of speech, expression, and right to feel the way they want to feel and correct things, although some of these things don’t happen in some other countries because should you march on the streets, you are gone.” TikToker Yagga revealed.
WHY DEMONSTRATIONS IN SOUTH SUDAN ARE HARD TO DO
He explained further how his country has tough, serious measures that cannot tolerate the public demonstrating peacefully without being dropped like flies.
“Like my country, there’s nothing like tear gas; it is live bullets. You go there, you’re gone, you know you might not come back.” Yagga disclosed.
The reason his country is that way is because it just got independence yesterday, and they are still working on some laws and the constitution that will govern the country.
He, however, commended the Kenyan youths and people who made the president submit to their plea, saying that it is something that will go down in history books.
“I am very proud of the Kenyan youth for standing up for themselves and defending their rights because if you don’t do it, who is going to do it for us?” TikToker Yagga explained.
